Anthropologie - Visual Display Artist
Designed and installed a variety of displays for the grand opening of a brand new Anthropologie storefront located in Salem, NH! I hand built pieces for the main storefront window as well as throughout the entire store to beautify the shopping experience for customers and keep the handcrafted artist experience that Anthropologie is known for.
In addition to getting the store visually ready for the holiday/winter launch, I prepared for the following spring season with mockups, construction, and digital planning.
Projects included in photos are Winter Trees , Crocheted Vespa, Jumbo Maeve Letters, Strawberries, and my Digital Floorplan Templates.
Skills Necessary:
Scale model making and mockups, sketching, woodshop machinery, utilizing fabrics, color sense, Adobe suite
Being able to prepare for the next display and creating templates while the current one is still up.
Following brand identity to keep visuals cohesive throughout all of the store globally.
Considerations for the Projects:
·Display is for a retail window. Needs to emphasizes the merchandise in a beautiful and handcrafted way that gets the attention of those walking in the mall to want to stop in the store.
·Size of everything needs to fit the big retail window without looking too oversized. Needs to be a nice balance of scale to fit the frame without looking too large or small for the space provided.
·Everything needs to have a sense of being handcrafted and whimsy that appeals to the audience of those who shop here.
